【主讲人简介】
詹东远，伦敦大学学院（ucl）助理教授。2015年博士毕业于南加州大学马歇尔商学院。主要研究方向包括服务运营管理、市场营销。在高水平国际期刊上发表多篇论文，特别是在《operations research》、《manufacturing & service operations management》等ut/dallas 24种经济管理类国际公认顶级期刊上发表学术论文。曾获得2014年国家优秀自费留学生奖学金，2018年华人学者管理科学与工程学会（csamse）优秀论文奖。
【报告内容简介】
in thistalk, i introduce advance selling and opaque selling, two new tools for online retailing. i will discuss my recent two papers. the first one is to design advance selling with upgrade option for a priority queueing system, motivated by amusement park ticketing (e.g., disneyland regular and fastpass tickets). the second one is to study the impact of random product in a vertical competition setting when consumers have uncertainty-induced feelings (e.g., anticipate regret). we find that the provider of a random product can benefit from the negative consumer feelings associated with uncertainty.
